Debt-to-Income Ratio

The percentage of your monthly income that goes toward debt payments.

Définition

Your debt-to-income ratio (DTI) is calculated by dividing your total monthly debt payments by your gross monthly income. Lenders use it to assess your ability to manage payments.

Exemple

If you pay $800 per month in debt and earn $4,000 gross, your DTI is 20%.
